Reaching out to shelters

Dave Lutton and Paul Goodwin have been calling around shelters, etc.  Here are some emails from Dave:

Summary for Paul and Kirk:

Bitsy and I have called all on Kirk’s list. Some are medical facilities with just voicemail to make appointments. Union Mission and Midnight mission both accepted emailed fliers (PD doesn’t give to them apparently). Salvation Army Missing Person Services was closed for the day. I will call them tomorrow morning.

Paul are there others on your list you want me to call. Most seem far from museum.

A little more Re Jane Does: The missions don’t ask names at all (but they said they would post the poster we sent for security staff). The one medical facility with a human answer said they didn’t have any jane does.

The mental health services on Vermont said they would call back, but didn’t - I’ll call again tomorrow.

Dave

Here is the list Dave was working off of:

  1. I spoke to a Social Worker at my hospital today (in Northern California). She mentioned that there are people who do homeless outreach. They apparently know where all the homeless encampments are located. It may be possible to have someone do a ride-along looking for Nancy. From your postings, it sounds like it's difficult to reach anyone. This option may definitely be worth a try though.
