UCLA Campus?

Emailed the UCLA Police today with info (info@ucpd.ucla.edu). Campus is 6-7 miles from museum, but has lots of places open 24/7. May be a good idea for a local follow-up.

  2. I can't help search right now so I've been trying to find places she may be in order to get food.

Doron in LA City Councilman Paul Koretz's office is searching the area for leads for food locations. He is trying to reach someone at the Jewish Family Service near by LACMA. I had earlier left a message with them, but he will probably get further. Here's the JFS info:
JFS/SOVA Community Food and Resource Program
    8846 W. Pico Blvd.
    LA 90035
    818 988-7682

If someone has yet to speak with them, tomorrow 10-1:30 may be a good time.

I'll post whatever I hear from Doron. Does anyone have other info I should request from him?

  3. Some additional search ideas that a few of us talked about this afternoon:

    1. Post flyers in every metro rail station. Start with the Red Line because it is closest to LACMA.

    2. As suggested, return to the area nearest LACMA. The museum will be closed on Wednesday, but this is also a search for Nancy. She may be easier to spot with fewer people around. She also may come out of hiding if there are fewer people around.

    3. Put posters on the local beaches from Torrance (in the south) to Playa del Rey (in the north). We went to Santa Monica and Venice on Sunday and Tuesday. This is in case she has found her way to the beach and is trying to get home.

    4. Notify USC and Loyola Marymount security in addition to UCLA.

  4. I would contact the MTA and see if there's a way to find out if she boarded a bus. Sometimes the drivers will let people board for free if they think they are stranded and really need a ride. They have cameras on the bus.
