Nancy's Remains Found. Nancy's partial skeletal remains have been identified. She passed in difficult terrain prior to March 11, 2017.
Francine and Peggy went to the following shelters:
ReplyDelete* Volunteers of America 1765 S La Cienega -- they took the flyer and will scan and distribute it to their other offices
* Beyond Shelter (affiliated with Path) 3323 W Washington -- they took the flyer and will scan and distribute it to their other Beyond Shelter and Path affiliates. This shelter is for families and talk to people by appointment only. But, they are affiliated with other shelters for individuals. They made it sound like the shelters provide help for people who actively seek help.
* Salvation Army 1401 S Sepulveda -- they took the flyer and will scan and distribute it. This is a transitional living area for families, so it might be worthwhile to visit another Salvation Army as well.
We did not go into "Friends Helping Friends" -- it's a house in a residential area in Leimert Park (not a great area), so Francine and I did not feel comfortable knocking on the door. No one was visible from the street.
We did not make it to Upward Bound. We can try it tomorrow.
