Volunteers should meet at Kirk's house 2209 Manzanita Ln, Manhattan Beach, at 9:30am on Wednesday.
I would like to send 2-3 person teams to 4 areas or types of area tomorrow:
- Shelters (starting near LACMA and going out). We are coming up with a list.
- Re-canvasing the area right around LACMA
- Downtown
- Beaches south of Santa Monica
If there is a specific area assignment you would like, please let me know.
Also, some people want to start early (we have a team of two set up for a beach); so if you want to do something like that, let me know and I'll work on getting you an assignment.
I'll post again later with more specifics.
FYI -- Don and I walked around McArthur Park today. We posted a few flyers. Lots of homeless with tents. Doesn't really look like a place where Nancy would hang out. We did not see her -- no one we talked to had seen her. It's really far from LACMA.

ReplyDeleteLet me find a team you can meet up with there, and they can give you flyers and stuff. Unless I find an early team, it will probably be 10:00 AM or a little later.
Perhaps you can send a softcopy of the flyer so we can print out ourselves. I stopped by the house to share flyers in R2, R5, and O1. HR wouldn't allow me to post them at the front and back door entrances of these buildings. But a mass email has been sent out.

ReplyDeleteIs there a place where we can pick up flyers? Also one idea if she is not found by this weekend (let's hope she is!!) is to broadcast her dissappearance at the sketchers friendship walk this weekend. People come from all over the city for the event and if they know to be looking out for her then they can take that information back to their neighborhoods.
