We have had difficulty getting a consistent story from the police. LAPD believed that the purview should move to Manhattan Beach, but MBPD found a code and disagrees.
CHP was notified and set up a Silver Alert.
On Monday morning, the case was passed on to LAPD Missing Persons Bureau; and that actually got some news play - so if you Google "Nancy Paulikas missing" you can see that it is being disseminated.
We have also tried through a variety of channels to get the LA Sheriff's Dept involved. They have some additional resources, but these have to be requested.
A key thing from them would be to get a Nixle post up, and I have been working with Mike Leum (a close friend of Kim Hughes) who is in the department to get that up. (Alan Levin has also worked with his brother on the same thing).
Nancy's Remains Found. Nancy's partial skeletal remains have been identified. She passed in difficult terrain prior to March 11, 2017.
