Nancy's Remains Found. Nancy's partial skeletal remains have been identified. She passed in difficult terrain prior to March 11, 2017.
My mother has Alzheimer's and before she moved her to a memory care facility she was constantly attempting to walk to her childhood home. She was an avid walker as well and this provided her with remarkable stamina and at 80 years of age could easily walk 4 -5 miles. Since Nancy is a backpacker I'd suggest searching the closest hill/mountain area and also the likely routes to her childhood home.

DeleteThank you for sharing your experiences with your mother. We agree about looking for routes home and that was one of our first efforts: How might she get back to Palos Verdes? We searched the southward routes and parks along the way. We continue to search, and please continue to look for Nancy...
