It has been a long time since I have asked you all to post to Nextdoor (I sort of forgot about it), but I certainly think it is worthwhile, and volunteer Christina reminded me and said that she has been getting positive response. So here is something that you may think about posting (I have no idea if you can simply copy and paste this since it has active hyperlinks ... if you can, you might put a picture of Nancy right in the post as well ... pictures are on your right as you read this blog).
Dear Neighbors ,
I'm helping the family of Nancy Paulikas- a woman with severe early on-set Alzheimer's disease who has been missing in Los Angeles since October 2016.
The family asks that people look over this information and keep their eyes open for Nancy. In addition, they are asking that we all help inform people by posting on our social media outlets.
Nancy, 57 now, wandered away
from her husband during a visit to the Los Angeles County
Museum of Art about 3 p.m. on Oct. 15, 2016. She was last
seen on security video walking west on Wilshire Boulevard
and then south on McCarthy Vista wearing a red, long-sleeve blouse with a
white pattern, blue jeans, glasses and navy blue sneakers.
Police and loved ones who have
spent months desperately searching for Nancy believe she
is lost in the medical system and being cared for as either a Jane
Doe or a mis-identified person in a long-term care facility. Her family is offering a
$30,000 reward for information leading to her return.

KCET SoCal Connected made a segment about Nancy, and you can view it here:
I met with Richard Montgomery of the Manhattan Beach City Council, and he had several good ideas of how to use government officials to help get other organizations to more broadly send out the information on Nancy (for example, having a government official ask the leaders of the CA Nurses Union to distribute Nancy's information). Mr. Montgomery also encouraged me to address the City Council directly. They have been kind enough show repeat a video clip about Nancy in their streaming video-cast for the council. Accompanied by Nancy's father, George, I attended the January 17 council meeting and addressed those in attendance.
Activities
We are specifically reaching out to the Los Angeles Filipino community with an ad placed in 20 Catholic Parish Newsletters (targeted parishes), and also a couple of ads in Filipino Newspapers. Thanks to Christina for finding the right contact with the Parish papers.
We are continuing to make calls to Skilled Nursing Facilities. There are occasional positive reactions. Today my sister Allison spoke to a woman at a Brookdale care facility (part of a large chain) and she promised to spread Nancy's story to all of the Brookdale centers in the area.
